Absolute Announces New Partnership with EMC
To further support customers who deploy Absolute's solutions on the EMC/VMWare platform, Absolute has partnered with EMC. The new partnership offers a higher level of integrated sales and support for Absolute solutions running on virtualized storage and computing platforms from EMC.
Since 2008 Absolute has utilized VMWare internally for all it's virtualization needs at three datacenter locations in Boston (USA), Sydney (Australia) and Panama City (Panama). This latest partnership allows Absolute to also supply similar systems based on the same architecture, including the flagship AX4 and NX4 storage products from EMC as the preferred shared storage solution, and VShpere as the virtualized application platform.
Absolute offers both hosted and client site deployed solutions. As a Professional level Solutions Provider Partner with VMware, we are proud to be able to offer the industry’s leading virtualization platform to our clients. Already several of Absolute's top tier clients have transitioned to VMWare and now successfully operate the Absolute SmartTRAC and Fleet Information System product within their own virtual datacenter environments.
Jeff Chandler, Director of Key Accounts confirmed "We have worked with EMC for both storage and virtualization for over three years and we are very confident that this new partnership offers significant benefits to Absolute's clients."
